Your comfort comes first, and I might not know the canon well enough to do it in an amusing way anyway.

[Misc Canon/Headcanon Things]
Regarding Grif: He definitely has a crush on Grif, has had a crush on Grif for years, and is aware of it. He's also extremely ashamed of it and spends a lot of effort trying to talk himself out of the feelings, though. I do ship it, but they'd have to work some of their shit out first. (I'm also not opposed to other ships, or not shipping it!)
Robot Parts: His left arm from the shoulder, his right leg from the knee, and most of his internal organs are robotic. Simmons's face is normal because icons are a pain, I've never been invested in the terminator thing anyway, and I'm lazy.
His robot arm is humanoid and has all five fingers, but it's obviously unnatural, unsheathed metal bits when he's out of his suit (and it's probably a pinching hazard). I kind of figure it's more of a robot endoskeleton thing. It's supposed to have another layer of components on top, it's not designed to be bare, but putting the outer parts on would've kept it from fitting in Simmons's armor. It's also just a robot arm, not a prosthetic device, and is not supposed to be attached to a dude. His leg is much the same. Simmons knows his robot limbs really well by now and is used to caring for them and dealing with their quirks, but it does take time to do that and it's a pain in the ass.
In general, Simmons is a garbage cyborg with bodily idiosyncracies he's had to get used to. It's kind of terrible, but usually more funny than sad. Any further details are intentionally vague for the purpose of dumb cyborg jokes, and I might contradict myself somewhere. At least that's true to source!
